Redemptive Jealousy/This is My Lover
Love that provokes a redemptive jealousy – this is the love from and the love for Yeshua ha Mashiach, the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world - the One Who was, Who is and Who is coming again.
How do you acquire a love that will provoke redemptive jealousy like this? It’s not for sale. It’s free to us who believe – but bought at a costly and more precious than diamonds price by Elohim Himself. Yeshua gives it freely to every hungry and seeking heart. But you must accept it.
How can jealousy ever be redemptive? It creates a desire to have what belongs to another. If jealousy is sufficient to provoke a person to seek what another person has, and when what is sought turns out to be Purity and Holiness Himself, then jealousy will be absolutely redemptive. And what a wonder that jealousy will propel Israel toward salvation!
And what does loving Yeshua have to do with Israel? What does passion for Yeshua have to do with the restoration of Israel, and indeed, the restoration of all things. What is the connection?
“O daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you – if you find my Lover, what will you tell Him? Tell Him I am faint with love.” (Song of Songs 5:8)
These words proclaim to Israel – “I know you don’t know your Messiah yet but if you should find Him, tell Him that I am totally and passionately in love with Him”. You say to Israel – if you see Him, pass along to Him that I am so in love with Him. With every chance you have, you want to let the God of Israel know, “I love you, Elohim – Abba, Yeshua, Ruach ha Kodesh”. By this, Israel knows that you know her Messiah and you confirm to her that when she does find Him, yes, she can be sure He is her Salvation, this is her Yeshua ha Mashiach.
This love for Him is the power that provokes jealousy – the “oh, how I want that” jealousy. When there is a display of supernatural love and a passion for someone, the biggest question on the lips of those who observe is “who is this person and why do you feel the way you do”?
Israel asks, “How is your Beloved better than others, most beautiful of women? How is your Beloved better than others, that you would charge us so?” (Song of Songs 5:9)
The question won’t be asked unless the love is authentic, genuine, and true. Authenticity is instinctively known by others. And you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. You know it when Heaven comes down. You know when Heaven is inside a person, when the Kingdom is inside a living being, when God Himself dwells there, when a person is like Jerusalem, the dwelling-place of Elohim.
When you’ve been loved with an everlasting eternal love, and allowed that love to consume you, you will be relentless in seeking Oneness and unity and partnership with this One Called Faithful and True. And it slowly begins to dawn that your seeking heart is from Him for His great Kingdom purposes. Worship, passion and love for God will draw others to Him, but the Lord gives us His Word that this love for Him, the God of Israel, the one true God, will particularly draw the Jewish people back to Him! After all, He is their God! And we in the nations, the Gentiles, have been grafted into their Tree, their Covenant.
“….proclaim peace….bring good tidings….proclaim salvation….say to Zion, Your God reigns!” (Isa. 52:7)
“….salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous” (Rom. 11:11)
We who have been forever changed and transformed by His love now know total unity and immersion into His Covenant, having been made heirs together with Israel and sharers in the promised inheritance.
We proclaim the love that makes unbelieving Israel jealous – and not only do we proclaim and say it, we live it in such a way that the Truth of Yeshua Himself goes forth – we say to Israel –
“My Lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand…..” (Song 5:10)
We are saying that He is filled with strength and beauty and there is nobody like Him.
“His head is purest gold; His hair is wavy and black as a raven….” (Song 5:11)
We say that He is divine, He is God, and His strength is from everlasting to everlasting.
“His lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh…” (Song 5:13)
We say that the words from His mouth are pure and sacrificial, revealing an “I will do anything, sacrifice everything I am, for your sake love”.
“His mouth is sweetness itself; He is altogether lovely.” (Song 5:16)
We say what He speaks, His Torah, is perfect, reviving the soul, and there is no flaw in Him.
We speak the words to provoke Israel to jealousy causing her desire to also be to have a love like this for Yeshua.
Be part of the salvation of Israel. Be part of provoking Israel to jealousy. Be part of the greatest story ever told – the redemption and restoration of all things. Love Elohim with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and speak of it, say the words –
“This is my Lover, this my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem”. (Song 5:16)
